The implementation of a well designed and implemented drug and alcohol testing programme in the workplace improves safety in many workplaces. It is a statutory requirement in others such as the aviation industry.  
 
Part of a drug and alcohol testing program is ready access to and the receipt of advice from medical practitioners who have the training to interpret the results of any drug and alcohol test.
 
Era Health provides all the services necessary to plan and implement a drug and alcohol programme including:-
  • Advice and assistance with the development, planning and implementation of a drug and alcohol programme;
  • Full on site or clinic based testing for drugs using either urine or saliva test kits (with an option for positive tests being confirmed by a NATA accredited pathology laboratory);
  • Full on site or clinic based breath analysis for alcohol; and
  • Medical Review Officer (MRO) services.
Our drug and alcohol screening programme fulfills the requirements of the CASA specified drug and alcohol management plan (DAMP) and our MROs are experienced occupational and forensic practitioners who are accredited professional MROs.
